  • COMMEMORATION OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED (ALL SOULSDAY) NOVEMBER 2, 2008

    Nov 02, 2008

“What a beautiful day!” Carl thought, as he enjoyed his morning walk near the water. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, what could be better?! Little did Carl realize that the weather was soon about to change! A huge black cloud drifted in from the West. The wind began to blow with such ferocity that Carl could barely keep his hat on. The chill that came with it forced him to fasten every button on his coat as he hastily retreated for shelter.

    Oct 19, 2008

“E” is for Enthusiasm! It’s been a wonderful month, hasn’t it?! First, we all had the opportunity to once again see the colorful banners around the perimeter of the church that remind us of the many wonderful ministries of our parish.

  • TWENTY-SEVENTH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME OCTOBER 5, 2008

    Oct 05, 2008

Nametag Sunday! Did you learn at least one new name? Will you remember it and be able to greet that person by name next Sunday? I’m very proud to announce that at one Mass I knew everyone’s name among those who sat in the front row! While I’d like to pat myself on the back, the truth is, the cantor and the lector were the only ones in the front row at the time! That being said, I did connect a few more faces and names and was glad to have the opportunity. I hope you took advantage of and enjoyed it as well.

They have spoken in over 500 parishes in the United States and Canada! They come to OLP refreshed, renewed, with big smiles and ready to share their message.

  • TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME SEPTEMBER 21, 2008

    Sep 13, 2008

Most wedding celebrations at OLP include a number of “preludes.” They are carefully selected songs and instrumentals that help set the tone for what is to follow. They suggest love, fidelity, unity of mind and heart, God’s presence in married life, and other concepts related to this wonderful sacrament.

  • TWENTY THIRD SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME - SEPTEMBER 7, 2008

This weekend, Fr. Bill will welcome Ava Marie into the family of faith at the Noon Mass. It’s the welcoming we call “Baptism,” and we rejoice with Ava’s Family and all those who bring their children to the font of Baptism. There will be several infants baptized the third Sunday of this month. Congratulations to all!
